Yaquina Bay and Newport
We took the kids into Newport, which has a great historic "bay front." There were tons of little souvenier shops, candy stores, etc. It was very clean and a lot of fun. And the salt water taffy was SOOO good!
Picture from my papparazi husband (seriously, you would think I was famous or something with some crazy lunatic with a camera following me around:-)
Sean holding onto the girls as they look out into the ocean...Sean was so protective of these two and would not let go of their hands for even a second when they were close to the water. It was a bit paranoid on his part, but still so cute!
And this is what they were looking at. I know it looks like a bunch of rocks in the harbor, but if you look closer you will see that there were TONS of sea lions all over the rocks. It was so much fun to watch them swim throughout the harbor and "bark" at each other.
Taylee and Brynlee watched these sea lions for a long time. They laughed everytime that they "barked" and Brynlee even starting barking back.
Here is one of the rare pics with me in it. I know it is fuzzy, but beggars can't be choosers, right?
We had to stop at a lighthouse since we were on the coast. This is the Yaquina Bay lighthouse. Look closely! Sean and the kids are standing at the bottom :-)
