This morning I am very grateful for modern medicine and for antibiotics.
70 years ago when my grandfather was diagnosed with pneumonia the treatment was to literally cut into the lungs through the back and squirt in bacteria-killing liquid and then syringe the liquid back out. This was done over and over again until all the bacteria was gone. A child's survival rate was not very good. My grandfather was only a child (around 5) when this happened, but he can clearly recall how painful it was.
Last night Taylee was diagnosed with pneumonia. She was given a shot and a prescription of antibiotics which I will go pick up at Walmart.
Yep, I am feeling very grateful this morning for modern medicine.

No fun. Hope she gets feeling better quickly. Good luck to you trying to get her to take it, both of my boys HATE taking it. Fortunately, they are both old enough now to take a pill form which is much easier to get them to take it. Tell Taylee we love her and to get feeling better.
Oh poor girl! I hope she gets feeling better quickly!
Let me know if I can do anything for you!
I hope she gets feeling better soon. Give her a big hug from us and also give one to her mommy.

Modern medicine is A-MAZ-ING if you really think about it. We wouldn't have Asher here without it :) I hope Taylee gets feeling better soon! Tell her to hang in there!
Oh wow. I hope she is doing better. How scary. I'm glad we have modern medicine too.
Poor little girl. I hope she is feeling better.
