When Are Toddlers Old Enough...

We just got back from taking our two girls to Madagscar 2. I definitely give it two thumbs up. It was a little slow at times, but both Sean and I were laughing at the humor that was thrown in and Taylee came out of it singing the song "I like to move it."

But Bryns was a pill. I thought that with the bribes of popcorn and candy she would be an angel, but alas, that was not the case. Sean ended up missing about 20 minutes of the movie walking with her in the hallways until she finally fell asleep. What a stinker :-)

So, when is it that a child is old enough to go to the movies? Apparently 18 months is still too young. Perhaps next summer Brynlee will enjoy them...but then we will be starting over with another baby...hmm.

Oh well. It was a great movie, though it was PG for a reason. Nothing bad, just some of the humor was geared to adults (the best example would be the line "tune in Tokyo").

We've been wanting to take the kids to this. It totally depends on the kid, I think-on how well they do sitting during a movie. Michaela and Tyler always did really good. Baylie was a little older before she had the attention span to do it. Sounds like a good movie!! (Oh my gosh, guess what the word verification word is?? cress. Isn't that cool?? LOL!)

Hi, you don't know me...but I was reading Angela Frasure's comments and I saw that you put feedjit on hers to check up on people looking...I was wondering how you do it, I am very interested! Thanks.

Aubree still had a rough time at KungFu Panda and that was back in July that we took her to that. I am hoping as a 3 year she will do better.

I would say Brynlee is doing pretty good. Asher would probably last 10 minutes...TOPS!!! I'm glad you guys got to go on your "family date" though, it sounds like you guys had an overall positive experience :)

We always do everything together. We took Leigh to madagascar, gave her a handful of licorice...it worked.

at least bryn didn't turn all the lights on. my aunt and her family had a toddler with them who found the light switch while my uncle was standing by the door with him. oops!!

That is funny. We tried to take Chelsie when she was 18 months and I ended up in the hallway with her for half the movie. For us, if they can't watch a movie at home then they won't make it at the theater.

Brave woman! Toddlers are hard to entertain/distract. But give her a few more months and she'll be glued to the tube...wait, is that a good thing?!?!:) I glad you guys had fun though, family outings are the best!!!

We are going next week.I have been saving this movie for Thanksgiving week. I need bribery to get my older girls to get their science projects done. I will probably have to take a huge bag of candy and then deal with Tanner "sugar high" afterwards!
