Oh, The Things That We Do :-)

Well, girls, I went golfing again today. And it was freezing cold, and it was raining, and I was so horrible on a couple of the holes that I actually quit counting how many strokes that I had taken...I was only half-way horrible on the rest of the holes, but I'm still not going to share my scores:-), yet it was worth it because I had three uninterrupted (well, rarely interrupted) hours of time with Sean. If you would have asked me two years ago if I would ever take up golf, I would have laughed and said maybe in thirty years or so when Sean retired, yet here I am finding myself trying to book time with our babysitter in order to go golfing with Sean! So, again, I am gettimg OLD!! But who knows, maybe if I put my mind to it I can become a pro, right! Um, no...I think next time we go, we will take Taylee, though. She has gone with Sean a couple of times this spring and she loves it. Bryns will have to wait until next year. I don't think she would truly appreciate such a complex sport! Get the ball in the hole, right? JK. She is just too much of a wiggle worm. Eventually, I am sure that we will make it a family sport all the time, but not yet. I want my three hours with Sean to myself as often as I can. I have to share him too much as it is. And if it means that I have to take up golf in order to get some good one-on-one time, than I will! :-)

It is amazing the things we do in order to spend time with our husbands. I remember when Troy and I were married the sealer said that we should learn to enjoy each others activities. I think he knew that sometimes that is the only way you get to spend quality time together and also it gives you a chance to see what makes your spouse happy. I love being on the boat when Troy is having a good time. It is when I get to see pure happiness-in a child like form. Good luck on the Pro Tour

I wish I could have seen you out there swinging....and swinging....and swinging:) I love that you are willing to try something for the sake of being with Sean - he is one lucky guy. This was a good reminder that I need to spend more time with Chris, even if it means going up to his studio and hanging out with him while he works on his project. We need that time and I need to be more assertive about procuring it. Thanks for your example.

Sometimes we do crazy things for the people we love :). But I completely understand. Recently I have been playing the Wii with Jordan after we put Asher to sleep. We play golf and tennis and have a good time. I told myself I was only doing it to spend time with Jordan. But than yesterday during Asher's nap, I started to play the wii by myself....oh no! Sometimes the activites our husbands enjoy can turn into stuff we enjoy too! So good luck with golf...before you know it, you and Taylee will be golfing while Sean's at work :)

Hi Brooke, I found your blog from Skye's I hope that is ok. Your girls are so adorable and you look great as usual. That is awesome that you picked up golf to go with your husband. I don't think that I could ever be good at that game. I don't think that I will ever have to worry about it because Mitch doesn't golf.

That is fun that you two got to go golfing. When Jordan and I get a chance, I think we will probably start going shooting. It is just nice to spend time with your husband. Good luck with the golf. I bet you will be a pro in no time.

Oh we are so family! Derek tried teaching me how to golf last year. I'm awful at it, but it is so entertaining. I told Derek the other day I want my own golf clubs and I'll probably invest in some pink ones this summer. Maybe we'll you and me will have to go to the driving range one day when I shoot up on one of my days off. Maybe you can teach me a thing or two.
