Discovery Science Center

We spent part of Spring Break with Sean in Boise. I was expecting warm, sunny weather where we could spend our days at the zoo and amazing parks throughout the city. WRONG. It was freezing and I had to find indoor things to do. The Discovery Center was a great place to spend a couple of hours. Taylee and Brynlee loved it!

Taylee typed her name into a computer screen and the robotic arm spelt out her name with blocks.


In the "Pulley Room" the girls found this swing that they were able to pull themselves up and then come back down.

But their favorite part was the animal clinic. Brynlee found herself a puppy to play with and Taylee got to put on a stethoscope. Yep, they were pretty happy in this room :-)

Band-Aids Fix Everything

Brynlee is convinced that a band-aid will help anything that hurts. Scratches. Bruises. And apparently sore runny noses :-)

BamJam in Boise

Sean participated in BamJam in Boise yesterday. It is a 3-on-3 tournament at Boise State. Despite losing their first game, they fought back through the losers bracket to play in the Championship game. It was a long day, where they played 8 games without a sub-player to play against a team who had only played 4. I was so proud of Sean! I would have been exhausted and grouchy after the first couple games (I kind of was anyway just from sitting in the stands:-), but he kept playing. It was fun to listen to other people in the stands as they said, "You've got to watch out for that one, he hits all the 3s." Sean is a 3-point shooter and he doesn't miss very often. I think it made his day when the two 20-yr olds that he played with asked him to be on their city team. He had a great time and it was so much fun to just spend time together.

Sick Kids

I have seriously had sick kids for about 3 weeks. Between coughs, runny noses, and new teeth coming in we have gone through a lot of Motrin and kneenexes. I thought we were finally getting better and just this week Sean came back from his leadership summit in Phoenix with another bug. Taylee has now lost her voice and is coughing AGAIN. Yuck. Oh well, soon the sun will be out and we will be bug-free til next winter :-)
But, here is how I know my kids are sick...they literally pass out on the floor.

Taylee in Phoenix

Sean had the opportunity to go to a Phoenix Suns game about a month ago where he got front row seats. As he puts it, his feet were actually on the wood of the court. I was not able to go so he took Taylee with him. They had such a great time and even though I am bummed that I didn't get to go, I am so grateful that they were able to have such a great bonding weekend together. Taylee loves her daddy SOOOO much (she's a definite daddy's girl) and loved every minute of it.

Taylee was excited just to get onto the shuttle at the airport. She loves to fly and is always asking when we are going on our next airplane trip.

Here is my beautiful princess on the airplane. She is such a pro-traveler :-) And thanks to Uncle Jordan she had a couple new movies on my iTouch to watch.

They had a great time at the game. The tickets that they were given from Verizon had face values of $1250 EACH (seriously, who would pay that much for a ticket?!?). They were treated as VIP customers with free gourmet food before and during the game. Sean said that Taylee was the only child there and all the workers just LOVED her. They were bending over backwards to make sure that she had a great time. One man even went up to the "other" level in order to get her a pizza. He said that even the players were waving and smiling at her. I guess they aren't use to having children sitting in $1250 seats (I still can't believe anyone would pay for those).
