Christmas 2008

We had a wondeful Christmas. For Christmas Eve we went to Grandpa and Grandma Gneiting's house. Taylee helped Sean build a beautiful gingerbread house, complete with snowboarders off of the too-long roof...I think it was Grandpa who made the comment that it looked like the 'ski-slope church,' so Sean added skiiers :-)

Christmas morning was so much fun. As our children get bigger it just gets better and better. Taylee has been so excited to have Santa visit. She has even blessed him in our prayers. Bryns gets excited when Taylee is excited, but I don't think she really understands what is going on very often. But since she is such a happy little girl, she just smiles and laughs at everything.

Bryns got a little laptop (since she is always trying to use mine!) She is constantly carrying it around and always gets it out when I get mine out. She is such a momma's girl (I love it!)
This is Taylee's "talking lion" that she has been talking about for months. Both girls love it (though I think its a bit creepy...a bit TOO life-like, plus I can never get it to STOP!)

In case you can't tell both girls are wearing Phoenix Suns pajamas. I let Sean pick out everyone's Christmas Eve pajamas...are you shocked over what he chose?!? Taylee loved them and asks every night if she gets to wear them (she is definitely a daddy's girls:-)

Baby Update

I had another 'baby' appointment this last week. Everything was perfect. I even measured the right length (which was a relief after the last fiasco). I was able to schedule my big ultrasound for the next appointment. I wish I could say that I was more daring and that we were going to find out the sex of the baby at the hospital as it was born........but I'm not :-) . I want to know if we have a little girl or a boy on the way. I want the baby room completely prepared with bedding, toys, and clothing (still with tags on of course........just in case there's a whoopsie on the ultrasound). So, on January 13th I should be finding out much more about this cute little baby that is going to join our family. I will make sure to post pics :-).

Fun in the Snow!

We have been so excited to go sledding this winter ever since we bought this house. We are right across from our subdivision park which is surrounded by hills. We got to try out our sled for the first time tonight for our Family Home Evening. It was a blast! Taylee loved it...Brynlee, not so much. As you can see, she face planted on her first ride down and didnt' want to go again :-)

This is not the best picture, so in case you can't tell, the bottom three feet of the tree is completely bare...all of the ornaments have quickly gone to higher ground. I laugh every time I look at it:-)

Phoenix

Sean and I went to Phoenix this last weekend (thank-you again to my mom and sister who watched Taylee and Bryns!). It was so much fun to just spend time together and get some SLEEP!!
Here are a couple pics from the trip.

At the Phoenix Suns game. For anyone who doesn't know, Sean is a HUGE Suns fan. As part of an early Christmas present, I let him pick out the tickets that we got...yeah, we are sitting in row 2 under the basket!Here is our view:-). I was a bit of a scrooge before the game, but I ended up loving being so close (you spoiled me, Sean, now I will always want to sit this close :-). Plus, we had the most entertaining fans around us. There was an old lady (had to be at least 80) sitting in front of us who was literally pulling her hair out, flinging her arms everywhere, and screaming at the top of her lungs. It was awesome and I was laughing the whole time. We also had two men in front of us who were so quiet and mellow during the first half that I was wondering if something was wrong with them, but as the game continued and they enjoyed themselves to their 8th and 9th BEER (maybe more!) they started going crazy. It was entertaining to say the least to see what idiots they became under the influence of alcohol.

We also went to part of an Arizona Cardinal game (football). Football fans are nuts to say the least. I definitely like basketball games better.

It was a great trip and I loved Phoenix! Sean has always wanted to live in Phoenix and I always thought he was crazy, but I am half convinced to go right now (don't worry, we are pretty well cemented here in Idaho), though I might change my mind in the triple digit degree summers :-)

Abracadabra!

My parents put up their Christmas tree a few days ago. Taylee and Brynlee were so excited to see it. But they got even more excited when Grandpa told them that it was a magic tree and that they could turn the tree on and off with magic. They loved it! Here is a video of Bryns practicing her "Abracadabra."

Even as we watch this video, Bryns is laughing and doing 'abracadabra' with it!
