Harry Potter Birthday Party

Taylee turns 11 on Monday!  And she is insistent on having a Harry Potter party because that's how old Harry was when he first goes to Hogwarts.  Here is the first post of the invitation.  I copied it fromhttp://onecreativemommy.com/harry-potter-party-invitations/.   We are going horse back riding for part of the party...hence the Care Of Magical Creatures class ;)  

Spring Break 2014---Pioneer Park

We went to St George for Spring Break.  Pioneer Park was a fun place to let the kids explore :)

Daddy-Daughter Dance

     Taylee and Brynlee attended a Princess Dance with Sean in February.  I took the girls dress shopping to find the "perfect dress".

     Brynlee was determined to get a "big girl" dress and not a "baby dress".  Any fluffy princess dress that I brought to her was immediately rejected.  It made me sad to see my little girl wanting to grow up :(

  

     Both girls received manicures, pedicures, and a trip to "Mommy Salon".  I had a blast curling, pinning, and hair spraying their hair to perfection!

     Sean picked them up for their date.  They attended the Kress Kottage for a gourmet dinner of spaghetti and then went to the dance at their Elementary School.

Lunch Date

I love these moments where I get to spend time with my children outside of the normal gotta-get-all-my-stuff-done schedule.

Hee Haw Farms Field Day

I got to go with Brynlee's class to a pumpkin farm today.  We had a blast picking out pumpkins, navigating through a corn maze, and petting a 900 lb pig!
She is making such a cute little friends!  Here is a picture of her group with her teacher, Mrs. Story.

Still Undefeated!

Taylee has been playing competitive soccer this fall.  With a great coach and a great team she has learned SO many new skills.  I have no idea what inside-hook, pass-back, or striker means, but she knows and does them all.

It has been a crazy schedule of practices and games.  I'm starting to realize why "soccer-mom" is a true title, lol!  But it has been worth it to see her strive and accomplish in a sport she loves.

10 hrs post-op

Taylee had her tonsils taken out this morning.  She is such a trooper!  She woke up in recovery and asked, "Are my tonsils gone"
Me: Yep
Tays: YES!!!

We are so glad those balls of germs are gone.

And we hope we survive the next week. (pain meds and Taylee don't mix especially well)

Brynlee

Brynlee is loving soccer.  She asks everyday if she is going to have practice.
She just grins during practices and games.
I love it.

Paxton

We are at soccer practice.
And Paxton decided to use the markers as a rocketship.
It's zooming all around me.
It's blasting off.
It's breaking apart and being fixed.
I love my fun little boy :)

Eastern Idaho State Fair

In Idaho.
Labor Day weekend.

Heck yes!
I love taking my kids to the fair! There wasn't as many kid-friendly attractions this year, but they still enjoyed feeding the goats.
Even when the naughty goat reached through the bars and pulled their cups out of their hands.....and then ate the cup in less then 5 seconds, lol!

Plus, I got my scone nuggets :-)

Great Grandma

Taylee loves her grandparents.
As we were visiting family this last weekend, it was so sweet to see her cuddling up with her great grandma Elison and telling her all about school.

First Day of Kindergarten

Brynlee is at kindergarten. And I am home tearing up just a little bit.
So excited for her to experience new things.
So sad that I don't get to be with her.
So proud of what a sweet little girl she has become.
Missing the sweet little baby she was.

At least she gave me a big hug and said, "Its ok mom, I'll be home for lunch.  We'll still have lots of fun."

Taylee is so excited to go back to school! She has Mrs. Murdoch this year. None of her close friends are in her class, but Taylee is excited to make new friends.

Trouble Trouble

My kids LOVE trouble! We play it nightly.  And it is intense. No one plays "nicely". It is an all out fight to the finish (parents included)!
Brynlee is our Queen of Sixes.

My Favorite Part of Lehi

It's Thanksgiving Point.  There is always something fun. There is always something new.  And it is so family friendly. 
I brought the two young ones down for $.50 ice cream and there is this new water toy in the middle of the square.
Pull a lever.  Water comes out of a different spicket. 
It looks like something from a Dr Seuss book. 
Yep. It's a huge hit with my kids.

McCall Trip

My sweet in-laws invited all of us to a cabin on the shores of Lake Cascade.  We have only been here 24 hrs and it has been heavenly! Our own beds.  A kitchen to cook in. A washer and dryer. 2 adoring grandparents.  And peace and quiet.  LOVE IT!!
Sean has had a blast with all the big kid toys. I had forgotten his love if 4-wheelers and dirt bikes......hmmmm....Christmas is only a few months away...
Here is an early morning ride between father and son.  Paxton has recently mastered the skill of "thumbs-up" and is VERY proud of it :)
