Taylee is growing up so fast! She says and does the funniest things and she is the best big sister to Brynlee. And since I plan on turning our blog into a hardback book as a family journal I wanted to record something she did last night since I was so proud of her.
When Sean came home last night he brought a old friend from Poky with him who wanted to see our house. Well, they went through the house (doing all their manly talk :-) and when they went downstairs to the theater room Sean couldn't get the "brain" of the system to connect (its been a problem lately so the company is sending us a new one). Taylee was standing with us as Sean was trying to figure out what to do and she said, "I know daddy," and the little cutie starting saying a prayer for the 'show' to work! And when she was done she said, "There daddy. Now it will work." And lo and behold it did :-). It was so cute and I cannot even try to put into words how proud I was of her. She is so sweet and full of faith. I love being her mom and I am so grateful to have her as an example for her younger siblings!

It's A Baby...
BOY! Yes, that is right. I had my ultrasound today and the tech was 100% certain that I am having a baby boy. We are both very excited. Sean has always wanted a little boy (what guy doesn't:-) and I didn't want to make my little Brynlee the middle child...yes, she will still be the middle child, but at least she can still be my baby girl! (Not to mention that I grew up in a family of only girls and those teenage years were interesting.)
We are so happy but I do have to admit that I keep thinking, "A boy? I don't know what to do with a boy." But I am sure I can figure it out (with a lot of phone calls to my wonderful sisters!)
Everything with the baby was perfect. Sean was even happy to find out that the baby had very long legs. Apparently the leg measurements were about a week ahead of the rest of the body. So, not only did Sean get his boy, but he got his basketball player. Yep, my husband is one happy daddy today :-)

Lucky, Lucky Boy...
I seriously think that my husband is one of the most lucky guys alive. Everything he touches is golden. He wins everything. It is absolutley crazy sometimes and I would probably hate him for being so stink'n lucky if I wasn't married to him.
In short, he is going to the Superbowl. A few days ago he got onto one of his favorite websites, First Dibz. It allows team's 'super-fans'to buy tickets to Final games(SuperBowl, NBA Championship, etc) at face value. But they pay a certain amount of money during the season to do it (Weird, huh? They pay money to buy the 'right' to buy face value tickets at the final game).
But Sean has found that it can pay off. He did it for the first time last year with the Kansas JayHawks (this is a college basketball who won the NCAA championship last year). He got to go watch the Final Four games and the Championship Game in San Antonio without paying ridiculous prices for tickets.
Well, a couple days ago he got onto the site and saw that to buy First Dibz of either the Cardinals or the Eagles was still cheap, so he took a gamble and did it. Lo and behold, they both won their games and are now playing for one of the championships games (I can never remember if it is NFC or AFC:-). In short, one of the two teams is going to the SuperBowl. So, Sean is going to the Superbowl. He is one lucky kid and is so excited. He has been jumping and literally dancing around the house all day.

New Years 2009
We had a pretty boring (aka. very nice) New Years Eve. Taylee and Brynlee helped me to make hats during the day and we celebrated New Years at 9. They were so cute and we had a blast with them (though Taylee kept asking if it was Christmas again)
Sadly, I did not make it to midnight. Sean and I played "Ticket to Ride" (which is the best game ever!) til about 11:15 and Bryns woke up coughing. I ended up falling asleep in the rocking chair with her.
Christmas 2008
We had a wondeful Christmas. For Christmas Eve we went to Grandpa and Grandma Gneiting's house. Taylee helped Sean build a beautiful gingerbread house, complete with snowboarders off of the too-long roof...I think it was Grandpa who made the comment that it looked like the 'ski-slope church,' so Sean added skiiers :-)
Bryns got a little laptop (since she is always trying to use mine!) She is constantly carrying it around and always gets it out when I get mine out. She is such a momma's girl (I love it!)
This is Taylee's "talking lion" that she has been talking about for months. Both girls love it (though I think its a bit creepy...a bit TOO life-like, plus I can never get it to STOP!)
Christmas morning was so much fun. As our children get bigger it just gets better and better. Taylee has been so excited to have Santa visit. She has even blessed him in our prayers. Bryns gets excited when Taylee is excited, but I don't think she really understands what is going on very often. But since she is such a happy little girl, she just smiles and laughs at everything.
In case you can't tell both girls are wearing Phoenix Suns pajamas. I let Sean pick out everyone's Christmas Eve pajamas...are you shocked over what he chose?!? Taylee loved them and asks every night if she gets to wear them (she is definitely a daddy's girls:-)
